Jessica - Bridal Session

Filed under Portraits, Weddings • Written by Jason Kasumovic on Thursday, October 8th, 2009, 3:23 pm

Any watcher of this blog knows Jessica. This beautiful bride has been featured in three past posts including an engagement shoot, tea ceremony, and wedding with the latter two being only a couple of months old. On Monday evening, I joined Jessica (with her helper husband and maid of honour) at the Royal Museum for a bridal shoot. With the recent and abrupt end to summer, Jessica had to fight off the cold throughout the shoot but managed to look great nonetheless. Here are some of the photos.

Thanks for yet another great shoot, Jessica! Cheers!

Pam and Dean - Maternity Shoot

It’s been awhile since Pam and Dean graced this blog. More than two years ago I had the pleasure of documenting their wedding day. It was a memorable winter wedding and I specifically remember just how close these two seemed. So it wasn’t surprising when - a few months ago - I found out that Pam was pregnant! Only a month away from their due date, I visited Pam and Dean about a week ago to take some maternity portraits. Here are a few of the photos.

Thanks for a fun shoot, you two. Speaking as a recent father, I can tell you with confidence that you’re about to embark on a grand adventure. I look forward to seeing the new addition to the family! Cheers!

Amber and Chris - After Wedding Session

Way back in the fall of 2007, I had the pleasure of doing an engagement session with Amber and Chris. While their wedding was originally scheduled for August this summer, circumstances prevented it from going off and the couple semi-eloped to a beautiful and intimate ceremony in Banff earlier this year. Already happily married, this couple - who resides in Red Deer - came up to Edmonton this weekend for some formal photos in their wedding clothes. Our shoot actually spanned over two days as Saturday evening’s shoot was interupted by some dark and broody fall weather. Fortunately, the skies were alive with sunshine on Sunday as we finished up our shoot at Elk Island Park. Here are some of the photos.

The day began with the ladies getting their hair and makeup done at Pure Elements in Sherwood Park.

Congratulations on your marriage, Amber and Chris - it sounds like it was a lovely occasion. Thanks for a great shoot on the weekend and kudos for persevering through some less than comfortable conditions on Saturday evening and still coming away with some cool photos. :) Cheers!

Tam-Lynn and Andrea - Trash the Dress Session

Filed under Portraits, Weddings • Written by Jason Kasumovic on Monday, September 29th, 2008, 11:01 am

More than a year ago, I had the pleasure of shooting Tam-Lynn and Jon’s Wedding. On that day, Andrea - sister of the the groom - was a bridesmaid for Tam-Lynn. Since that time Andrea has also tied the knot and, on Saturday, it was dress trashing time for both of these beautiful brides in Jasper. This was not a summery day by any means. Our shoot took place near at the top of Mt. Edith Cavell Road and the temperature was a balmy 3 degrees when we arrived. But Tam-Lynn and Andrea were tough as nails (citing the fact that “if the polar bear clubs can do it, so can we!”) and we managed a great shoot. Here are some of the photos.

If you think you’re seeing snow in this photo, you’re right! My body temperature dropped 5 degrees just watching Tam-Lynn at this point. :)

The ladies enjoy some warm robes and towels as the shoot finishes up.

Thanks for a fantastic shoot, Tam-Lynn and Andrea. You two were real troopers and showed uncanny toughness throughout. Hopefully you warmed up enough to enjoy your Saturday night in the mountains. ;) Cheers!
