<p style="text-align: center;">If you look back one post you&#8217;ll find these same two smiling faces having fun on their e-shoot in Edmonton&#8217;s river valley. In late February, the big day came and Mara and Reece tied the knot in style in front of a happy group of friends and family. As fate would have it, Edmonton had its largest snowfall of the year on the wedding day but the weather only motivated everyone into having a great time at the couple&#8217;s great selection of venues. Here are some photos from the day.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">The ladies were busy getting ready at the Hotel Mac in downtown Edmonton bright and early in the morning.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/mr/wed/0001.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Some sincere smiles as the dress went on.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/mr/wed/0002.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">It wasn&#8217;t long before Mara walked the isle with mom and dad at St. Joachim&#8217;s church nearby.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/mr/wed/0003.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/mr/wed/0004.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/mr/wed/0005.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/mr/wed/0006.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/mr/wed/0007.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">With a kiss, Reece and Mara are husband and wife.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/mr/wed/0008.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">First stop was the Muttart Conservatory for some formals.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/mr/wed/0014.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">The ladies were stunning.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/mr/wed/0015.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">The beautiful bride poses for a portrait.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/mr/wed/0013.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/mr/wed/0010.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/mr/wed/0011.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/mr/wed/0012.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Being a firefighter, Reece got in uniform for a few shots.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/mr/wed/0018.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/mr/wed/0016.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/mr/wed/0017.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/mr/wed/0019.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">We returned to the hotel for some freshening up before the reception.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/mr/wed/0021.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/mr/wed/0020.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">The reception was laid back and fun. Below the couple reacts to one of the plethora of entertaining stories told by their family and friends.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/mr/wed/0022.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Mara and Reece share their first dance as a married couple.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/mr/wed/0023.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/mr/wed/0024.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/mr/wed/0025.jpg" alt="" /><BR><BR><br />
Thanks for letting me share in a great day, Mara and Reece! You two are an amazing couple and are destined for a happy marriage. Congratulations and cheers! </CENTER></p>

<p style="text-align: center;">I first met Jennifer five years ago when she and two other sisters assembled as bridemaids on their sister <a href="www.photoalberta.ca/wordpress/?p=36">Pam&#8217;s wedding day</a>. Having done various shoots with Pam and her husband Dean as well as a super fun <a href="http://www.photoalberta.ca/wordpress/?p=462">engagement shoot</a> with Jennifer and Steven earlier this year I was greatly looking forward to the big day which arrived on Saturday. All of my shoots involving this family have been a true pleasure to do and Jennifer and Steven&#8217;s big day didn&#8217;t disappoint as everyone involved enjoyed a fantastic celebration. Here are a few of the photos.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">My day began bright and early at Tommy Gun&#8217;s Original Barber Shop in South Edmonton Common where the boys were being treated to some very pampering shaves as they watched ESPN.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0001.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">After an hour I was off to the bride&#8217;s parents home where the ladies were getting ready for the day. While Pam was having her makeup done, the bride was doing her duty as an aunt and looking after a very cute nephew.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0002.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0003.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0004.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">With the bridesmaid&#8217;s dresses in place and looking good, the sisters assembled upstairs to get the important dress in place.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0005.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0006.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Soon after, a smiling dad walked the glowing bride down the isle at St. Basil&#8217;s Catholic Parish.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0007.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0008.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0009.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">The first kiss as husband and wife.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0010.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Sometimes the post kiss reaction is as good as the kiss.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0011.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Formals took us to the UofA grounds and Whyte Avenue areas. The wedding party struts their stuff below.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0014.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0015.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">The stunning ladies smile for the camera.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0016.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">The beautiful bride posed for some portraits.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0017.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0019.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0012.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0013.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0020.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Steven owns and runs some Panago&#8217;s in the Edmonton area (bill&#8217;s in the mail for the advertising, Steve).</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0021.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0022.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Sometimes you set up for a tender, mushy shot and you get the opposite.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0023.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0024.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">The Sheraton Four Point was the reception venue. Below, the bride and groom react to one of many amply entertaining speeches.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0025.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Can&#8217;t explain this one but the cake cutting expidition looked like fun.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0026.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">The first dance was up next..</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0027.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0028.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">I learned during the &#8216;BEST EVER&#8217; slideshow put together by Pam that Steven has some Ukrainian dancing skills on his repertoire. When the DJ locked in &#8216;Rasputin&#8217;, Steven caught fire and attempted to pass those skills onto nephew Declan.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0029.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Party time begins as the dance floor hums all night.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/jf/wed/0030.jpg" alt="" /><BR><BR><br />
Thanks a ton, Jennifer and Steven, for making me a part of the big day. I was honoured and had a great time turning the camera on your and your family yet again. Congratulations you two and cheers! </CENTER></p>

<p>Meet Carissa and Jeff. A couple of weeks back the three of us made some hotel bookings and drove south with the intent of doing an engagement shoot in the Elbow Falls area of Kananaskis Country. With a forecast calling for &#8216;a mix of sun and cloud&#8217; the night before everything was looking great &#8230; until morning arrived. What started as steady showers in Calgary turned into a messy mix of rain and snow by the time we hit our location. We waited .. we crossed our fingers .. we begged the weather gods then finally swore at them when they made it clear the weather was staying put. Things have a way of working out, however, as our rescheduled shoot happened in Jasper National Park on Saturday. And what a gorgeous Rockies morning it was. Blue skies with some lovely wispy cloud put smiles on everyones face. Here are a few photos from the shoot.</p>

<p>Meet Michelle and Jason. A week ago this couple celebrated their wedding in Edmonton. Not wanting the fun to end there, they booked me for a trash the dress session in Jasper National Park this weekend. As it turned out, Michelle wasn&#8217;t the only one to dawn her wedding duds for the event. She and hubby Jason both treated their clothing to a good dose of Rocky Mountain elements. We had alot of fun &#8211; crisp temperatures and cool water only brought out more laughs and nobody was afflicted with hypothermia during the shoot. <img src='http://www.photoalberta.ca/wordpress/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> Here are some photos from the day.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">A little earlier this summer I had the pleasure of doing an <a href="http://www.photoalberta.ca/wordpress/?p=468">engagement shoot</a> with Cindy and Austen. Just down the hill from that shoot was the Royal Glenora club where their friends and family gathered to celebrate their marriage on Saturday. These two pulled off a great wedding &#8211; everything ran smooth and everyone&#8217;s smiles were both sincere and larger than life. Here are some shots from the day. </p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">Cindy&#8217;s place was the preparation venue for the girls.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0001.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0002.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Early in the afternoon Cindy was escorted down the isle by dad at Robertson Wesley United Church near downtown Edmonton.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0003.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0005.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0006.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0007.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">A kiss sealed the vows.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0008.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Next up were formals in and around the river valley.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0016.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">The lovely ladies were all smiles.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0017.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">The guys were a little jumpy.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0018.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">The beautiful bride posed for some portraits.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0009.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0021.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0013.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0010.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0011.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0012.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0014.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0015.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0020.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0022.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Back at the Glenora the newlyweds decided to go bowling.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0023.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Cindy kept the guys in line (no groomsmen were harmed in the making of this photo).</p<br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0024.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">The reception was up next. The speeches were very entertaining and included an interesting story about the bridesmaids suspecting Austen of being an axe murderer early in the relationship. Fortunately for everyone they were wrong. <img src='http://www.photoalberta.ca/wordpress/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0025.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">The cake was cut.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0026.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">And the newlyweds shared their first dance.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0027.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0028.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Followed by an energetic dance with dad.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ci/wed/0029.jpg" alt="" /><BR><BR><br />
Thank you, Cindy and Austen, for making me a part of the big day. I truly enjoyed shooting your wedding and wish you all the best in the future. Cheers! </CENTER></p>

<p style="text-align: center;">Last fall I had a great time doing an <a href="http://www.photoalberta.ca/wordpress/?p=443">engagement shoot</a> with Chandi and Theo at Elk Island National Park. There&#8217;s only one place I enjoy doing photos more than Elk Island &#8211; that&#8217;s the Canadian Rockies. These two know how to choose their locations as on Saturday, they tied the knot above the town of Golden, British Columbia. Gorgeous weather was on their side as they enjoyed a fantastic wedding in a spectacular setting. Here are a few photos from the day.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">Chandi and the ladies began getting ready bright and early in their lodge.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0001.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">The team went to work with Chandi&#8217;s lovely dress.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0002.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0003.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Theo gets his first look at his stunning bride.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0004.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">We were off to Golden from the Kicking Horse Mountain Resort for some pre-ceremony formals.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0005.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">The ladies looked lovely.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0006.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0007.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0008.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0009.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">In the early afternoon we hopped into a gondola to make the ride to the ceremony site.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0010.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">A smiling Chandi soon made her entrance escorted by mom and dad.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0011.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0013.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0012.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0014.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0015.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">The first kiss went on and on&#8230;</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0016.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">It was time for some more formals. Below, the wedding party take some air on top of the world.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0018.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Some portraits of the beautiful bride.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0017.jpg" alt="" /><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0023.jpg" alt="" /><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0022.jpg" alt="" /><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0019.jpg" alt="" /><br />
<img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0021.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">The reception was up next. Below, the newlyweds enjoy and special gift from the parents. Alot of effort went into making an album that documented their lives from birth to present.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0024.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Some laughs during the short and sweet speeches.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0025.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">The cake was up next (the little fellow on the bottom left looks hungry).</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0026.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">This was such a great first dance as Chandi and Theo wore their happiness on their sleeves from start to finish.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0027.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0028.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0029.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">The party was on (not sure what Theo was doing here).</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0030.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Their was a short break for some bouquet tossing and garter hunting.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0031.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">And the party resumed.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/tc/wed/0032.jpg" alt="" /><BR><BR><br />
Congratulations Chandi and Theo! Thank you much for making me a part of the big day &#8211; it was happily memorable for everyone involved. Cheers! </CENTER></p>

<p style="text-align: center;">Earlier in July I had a chance to meet Lila and Dave as we hit the downtown area for an <a href="http://www.photoalberta.ca/wordpress/?p=460">engagement shoot</a>. Saturday marked their big day as they tied the knot in front of smiling family and friends. Here are a few photos from the day.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">Lila and the girls began getting ready early in the morning at her home in North Edmonton.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ld/wed/0001.jpg" alt="" /><BR><br />

<p style="text-align: center;">A short time later, the bride was escorted down the isle by her aunt and uncle.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ld/wed/0004.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>

<p style="text-align: center;">The marriage begins with a kiss.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.photoalberta.ca/tempblog/ld/wed/0008.jpg" alt="" /><BR></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Irene Parlby Park in Edmonton&#8217;s River Valley was our first stop for formals. Below, the wedding party tests there jumping skills.</p>
