If you look back one post you’ll find these same two smiling faces having fun on their e-shoot in Edmonton’s river valley. In late February, the big day came and Mara and Reece tied the knot in style in front of a happy group of friends and family. As fate would have it, Edmonton had its largest snowfall of the year on the wedding day but the weather only motivated everyone into having a great time at the couple’s great selection of venues. Here are some photos from the day.

The ladies were busy getting ready at the Hotel Mac in downtown Edmonton bright and early in the morning.

It wasn’t long before Mara walked the isle with mom and dad at St. Joachim’s church nearby.

With a kiss, Reece and Mara are husband and wife.

First stop was the Muttart Conservatory for some formals.

We returned to the hotel for some freshening up before the reception.

I first met Jennifer five years ago when she and two other sisters assembled as bridemaids on their sister Pam’s wedding day. Having done various shoots with Pam and her husband Dean as well as a super fun engagement shoot with Jennifer and Steven earlier this year I was greatly looking forward to the big day which arrived on Saturday. All of my shoots involving this family have been a true pleasure to do and Jennifer and Steven’s big day didn’t disappoint as everyone involved enjoyed a fantastic celebration. Here are a few of the photos.

My day began bright and early at Tommy Gun’s Original Barber Shop in South Edmonton Common where the boys were being treated to some very pampering shaves as they watched ESPN.

After an hour I was off to the bride’s parents home where the ladies were getting ready for the day. While Pam was having her makeup done, the bride was doing her duty as an aunt and looking after a very cute nephew.

With the bridesmaid’s dresses in place and looking good, the sisters assembled upstairs to get the important dress in place.

Soon after, a smiling dad walked the glowing bride down the isle at St. Basil’s Catholic Parish.

The first kiss as husband and wife.

Sometimes the post kiss reaction is as good as the kiss.

Formals took us to the UofA grounds and Whyte Avenue areas. The wedding party struts their stuff below.

Steven owns and runs some Panago’s in the Edmonton area (bill’s in the mail for the advertising, Steve).

Sometimes you set up for a tender, mushy shot and you get the opposite.

The Sheraton Four Point was the reception venue. Below, the bride and groom react to one of many amply entertaining speeches.

Can’t explain this one but the cake cutting expidition looked like fun.

The first dance was up next..

I learned during the ‘BEST EVER’ slideshow put together by Pam that Steven has some Ukrainian dancing skills on his repertoire. When the DJ locked in ‘Rasputin’, Steven caught fire and attempted to pass those skills onto nephew Declan.

Party time begins as the dance floor hums all night.

A little earlier this summer I had the pleasure of doing an engagement shoot with Cindy and Austen. Just down the hill from that shoot was the Royal Glenora club where their friends and family gathered to celebrate their marriage on Saturday. These two pulled off a great wedding – everything ran smooth and everyone’s smiles were both sincere and larger than life. Here are some shots from the day.

Cindy’s place was the preparation venue for the girls.

Early in the afternoon Cindy was escorted down the isle by dad at Robertson Wesley United Church near downtown Edmonton.

A kiss sealed the vows.

Next up were formals in and around the river valley.

The lovely ladies were all smiles.

The guys were a little jumpy.

Back at the Glenora the newlyweds decided to go bowling.

Cindy kept the guys in line (no groomsmen were harmed in the making of this photo).

The reception was up next. The speeches were very entertaining and included an interesting story about the bridesmaids suspecting Austen of being an axe murderer early in the relationship. Fortunately for everyone they were wrong.

The cake was cut.

And the newlyweds shared their first dance.

Followed by an energetic dance with dad.

Last fall I had a great time doing an engagement shoot with Chandi and Theo at Elk Island National Park. There’s only one place I enjoy doing photos more than Elk Island – that’s the Canadian Rockies. These two know how to choose their locations as on Saturday, they tied the knot above the town of Golden, British Columbia. Gorgeous weather was on their side as they enjoyed a fantastic wedding in a spectacular setting. Here are a few photos from the day.

We were off to Golden from the Kicking Horse Mountain Resort for some pre-ceremony formals.

In the early afternoon we hopped into a gondola to make the ride to the ceremony site.

A smiling Chandi soon made her entrance escorted by mom and dad.

The first kiss went on and on…

It was time for some more formals. Below, the wedding party take some air on top of the world.

The reception was up next. Below, the newlyweds enjoy and special gift from the parents. Alot of effort went into making an album that documented their lives from birth to present.

This was such a great first dance as Chandi and Theo wore their happiness on their sleeves from start to finish.

The party was on (not sure what Theo was doing here).

Their was a short break for some bouquet tossing and garter hunting.

And the party resumed.

Earlier in July I had a chance to meet Lila and Dave as we hit the downtown area for an engagement shoot. Saturday marked their big day as they tied the knot in front of smiling family and friends. Here are a few photos from the day.
