Meet Tam-Lynn and Jon. This isn’t the first time they’ve appeared on my blog - back in February, this brave couple endured temperatures of -20 to do some engagement photos in Elk Island Park. On Saturday, after overcoming some nerve wracking adversity in the days leading up to the wedding when it came to finding an officiant, these two tied the knot in fantastic style.
The day began first in the morning at Lavish Hair Salon in north Edmonton.
Soon after, the ladies quickly retreated to Tam-Lynn’s mother’s house for makeup and dresses. Below, Tam-Lynn shares a smile with her close friend and maid of honour as the lacing begins.
The soon to be bride reflects in a full length mirror in the bedroom.
With the preparations complete, these gorgeous ladies pose for a picture before leaving for the ceremony.
The ceremony took place at Hasting’s Lake Gardens - located about 20 minutes east of Sherwood Park. The place is actually a greenhouse but the owner has converted her beautiful yard into a flourishing landscape worthy of any wedding. Here, Tam-Lynn walks the isle with her father.
The skies looked threatening for much of the day but some spots of blue showed themselves as the ceremony began.
Emotional vows are exchanged by the bride and groom.
And the marriage begins.

Running water and happy chatter.

The reception was held at the Country Lodge on the north tip of Edmonton. Below, the newlyweds engage in a monstrous kiss. Intead of glass-tinking, these two gave guests some options in eliciting a kiss. They could either answer a trivia question about the couple or donate to cancer research via a jar at the head table. By night’s end, the jar was full and the couple did a ton of kissing.
Big smiles are seen as the cake was cut.
Followed soon after by a loving first dance.
The skies cleared even further towards the evening so we took a quick photo break during the reception.
The newlyweds enjoyed some time outside.
The wedding party walks into the sunset, arm in arm.
Tam-Lynn and Jon, after what you two had gone through getting here, it was fitting that your wedding went off with a hitch. Thank you very much for making me a part of it - I had an absolute great time. You two are great people and make a perfect couple. Best wishes now and in the future. Cheers!
