Jacquie and David - Wedding Day

Last summer I had the pleasure of doing an engagement shoot in Elk Island Park with Jacquie and David. And while the temperatures on Saturday were about 40 degrees cooler than that August evening, the couple’s wedding day was no less bright and joyful.

The day began with David receiving some assistance from his best man in suiting up into his tux.

Elsewhere, Jacquie received some help from mom getting into her dress.

The ceremony begins at the Holy Family Parish in St. Albert.

David and Jacquie exchange their vows.

And then their rings.

And a kiss makes them husband and wife.

The majority of formals were done at the Citadel Theatre. The wedding party was laid back and alot of fun.

The gorgeous ladies of the day.

The beautiful bride smiles for a portrait.

The newlyweds share a loving gaze.

And a passionate kiss.

We made a brief stop at the Royal Museum. Here, the newlyweds skip along to avoid hypothermia. =)

The reception was held at Elk’s Reception Hall in Spruce Grove. The couple’s centerpieces were quite unique - Siamese Fighting Fish!

The speeches were a great blend of touching encouragement and comedic stories from the past.

Jacquie and Dave cut the cake … with a sword!

The couple shares an energetic first dance.

Dave goes garter hunting but can’t seem to find the target….

Likely because he was wearing it.

Afterward - it was party time.

Thank you for making me a part of your big day, Jacquie and Dave. You and your wedding party were an absolute pleasure to work with. Enjoy your (warm) honeymoon! Cheers!
