Meet Isabelle and Marc. Sunday was a day of two engagement sessions as I returned from Jasper just in time to head to another national park - Elk Island - to meet up with this easy going couple. We had a fantastic evening to work with - for being so close to October the temperatures were comfortable and the scenery beautiful. Here are some of the photos.

Isabelle and Marc get some practice in for the wedding party jump shot I often do. They scored high.

Thanks for a fun shoot, Isabelle and Marc. Looking forward to a great wedding next summer! Cheers!

Meet Amanda and Stanko. Early Sunday morning, this fun couple joined me for an engagement shoot in Jasper National Park. As they got engaged in the Rockies, the alpine scenery had special meaning for them. It was definately beautiful as a warm sunrise beautified the landscape around us. Our shoot took us from Patricia and Pyramid Lakes to various spots along highway 16 west of Jasper. Here are some of the photos.

Thanks for a beautiful shoot, Amanda and Stanko. Looking forward to your big day next summer! Cheers!

Tam-Lynn and Andrea - Trash the Dress Session

Filed under Portraits, Weddings • Written by Jason Kasumovic on Monday, September 29th, 2008, 11:01 am

More than a year ago, I had the pleasure of shooting Tam-Lynn and Jon’s Wedding. On that day, Andrea - sister of the the groom - was a bridesmaid for Tam-Lynn. Since that time Andrea has also tied the knot and, on Saturday, it was dress trashing time for both of these beautiful brides in Jasper. This was not a summery day by any means. Our shoot took place near at the top of Mt. Edith Cavell Road and the temperature was a balmy 3 degrees when we arrived. But Tam-Lynn and Andrea were tough as nails (citing the fact that “if the polar bear clubs can do it, so can we!”) and we managed a great shoot. Here are some of the photos.

If you think you’re seeing snow in this photo, you’re right! My body temperature dropped 5 degrees just watching Tam-Lynn at this point. :)

The ladies enjoy some warm robes and towels as the shoot finishes up.

Thanks for a fantastic shoot, Tam-Lynn and Andrea. You two were real troopers and showed uncanny toughness throughout. Hopefully you warmed up enough to enjoy your Saturday night in the mountains. ;) Cheers!

Cecily and Cory - Engagement Session

Meet Cecily and Cory. Next May, these two will be getting married in spectacular fashion in Jasper National Park. On Wednesday, we hit the city for an engagement shoot. These two were tons of fun and the evening was filled with alot of laughter as we debated the relative merits and perceptions of jump and heel click shots. We started the shoot at the Royal Museum and finished up at a great river valley viewpoint in the Terwillegar area. Here are some of the photos.

Thanks for a great shoot, Cecily and Cory. I’m looking very much forward to hitting the mountains with you two next spring. :) Cheers!

Amanda and Kendt - Engagement Session

Meet Amanda and Kendt. This couple has been together for … well forever. :) And next summer they’ll be finally tieing the knot. We headed out on Tuesday evening for an engagement shoot in the city and despite the chilly weather managed to have some fun. Here are some of the photos.

With all the fall leaves around, it was inevitable that a leaf fight broke out. I stopped them before anyone got hurt. :)

Thanks for a fun shoot, Amanda and Kent. I’m looking forward to your big day next year! Cheers!
