Angela and Tyson - Wedding Day

As I pulled into Slave Lake on Friday night for Angela and Tyson’s wedding, the trusty temperature display on my truck read -35C. What it didn’t tell me was that on top of that, a stiff north westerly wind was pushing that temperature even further grim territory. This was going to be a cold weekend - even to born and bred Albertans. Despite it all, however, Angela and Tyson pulled off a fantastic wedding in front of jubilant family and friends. Their intense love for each other and frequently locked lips managed to keep everyone warm. Here are some of the photos.
The day began at Hair Traces in Slave Lake. Angela and her maid of honour share an excited smile below.

The ceremony started at 2:00 pm at the Abundant Life Assembly across the street. An emotional bride makes her entrance with dad.

Angela and Tyson seal their vows with a kiss.

When we’d last met, the couple had expressed an interest in doing some shooting outside, however, as they valued the continued health of their limbs, we shot the formals at a beautiful residence in Slave Lake. Below, a gorgeous group of ladies flash their smile for the camera.

A couple of portraits of the beautiful bride.

The reception was held at Elk’s Hall. The speeches had a definate humorous tone.

The newlyweds attempt a cake topper pose.

The first dance was up next.

The guys put together a great fireworks display for the couple (which many elected to watch from a warm vehicle). The cold kept our shoot to under 10 seconds but the result was lovely.

Thanks for making me a part of the big day, Angela and Tyson. You two are amazingly laid back and were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Your love for each other is so easy to see - you’re destined for a great marriage. Congratulations and cheers!
