Carla and Tyler - Wedding Day

Filed under Weddings • Written by Jason Kasumovic on Sunday, May 24th, 2009, 11:57 pm

Last fall I did an engagement shoot with Carla and Tyler. These two were super fun and proudly wore the jerseys of the teams they supported - the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Edmonton Eskimos. On Saturday, loads of happy family and friends from both provinces attended the couple’s wedding day. The weather was beautiful and the day went off without a hitch (except, perhaps, for a well sunburned groom). :) Here are some of the photos.

The morning began at Carla’s home where the girls got ready for the day.

The cake got cut.

This suspicious snap was taken immediately after Carla fed Tyler some wedding cake. Hmmm …

The first dance was up next.

Thanks for making me a part of a great wedding day, Carla and Tyler. You two were fun to work with from start to finish and I wish you all the best in the years to come. Congratulations and cheers!

Pam and Dean - Maternity Shoot

It’s been awhile since Pam and Dean graced this blog. More than two years ago I had the pleasure of documenting their wedding day. It was a memorable winter wedding and I specifically remember just how close these two seemed. So it wasn’t surprising when - a few months ago - I found out that Pam was pregnant! Only a month away from their due date, I visited Pam and Dean about a week ago to take some maternity portraits. Here are a few of the photos.

Thanks for a fun shoot, you two. Speaking as a recent father, I can tell you with confidence that you’re about to embark on a grand adventure. I look forward to seeing the new addition to the family! Cheers!

Meghan and Tom - Wedding Day

Meet Meghan and Tom. On Sunday morning I zipped back to Edmonton from Lake Louise to join this young and happy couple for their wedding day celebration. And a celebration it was - despite the less than stellar weather, a great wedding party and group of guests that were in a party mood made Meghan and Tom’s big day all the more special. Here are some of the photos.

Meghan and Tom seal their vows with a kiss.

Immediately after the register signing one of Meghan’s bridesmaids sang beautifully in dedication to the couple.

With a blustery wind and rain outside, we headed off to Commerce/Manulife Place and Edmonton City Centre for some formals.

I had some problems getting everyone’s attention.

We headed to Red Tail Landing Golf Course for the reception. I grabbed this ring shot on some of the signing table decor.

The speeches were full of laughter and tears.

The newlyweds shared their first dance.

And Meghan danced with dad.

And the party got started as the dance floor roared all night.

Thank you, Meghan and Tom, for making me a party of your big day. Your wedding was a ton fun thanks to your awesome personalities and great group of family and friends. Congratulations and cheers!

Bonnie and Kevin - Wedding Day

It’s Bonnie and Kevin again! Saturday marked their much anticipated wedding day at Lake Louise in Banff National Park. Friends and relatives from all over Canada and the US made the journey to this beautiful spot to help them celebrate. While they were greeted with a frozen lake and chilly conditions, everyone enjoyed a warm and fun day with a fantastic bride and groom. Here are some of the photos.

Bonnie was given a ’six pence’ coin for good luck from her grandfather who was unable to attend She taped it into her shoe and kept it with her throughout the day.

An emotional moment as Bonnie receives a note from Kevin an hour before the ceremony.

Shortly afterward, the bride makes her entrace escorted by dad.

An open mic reception elicited some laughs from the newlyweds.

We headed out in the cool drizzle to take a few photos at dusk.

Thank you, Bonnie and Kevin, for choosing me to document your very special weekend in the mountains. Your wedding was a great experience for everyone involved from start to finish. Congratulations and cheers!

Bonnie and Kevin - Engagement Session

Meet Bonnie and Kevin. This couple just got through a very busy and memorable weekend. On Friday, they travelled from Port Coquitlam, BC to Lake Louise to prepare for their Saturday wedding! After their rehearsal we headed outside to take a few engagement photos on the Chateau Lake Louise grounds. Here are a few shots from the evening - the wedding shots will be coming shortly!

While it is the May long weekend, the weather in Lake Louise was on the chilly side this weekend. A special thanks to Bonnie who toughed out the shoot on Friday - she was frozen stiff by the time it was over! :) Wedding images incoming shortly….
