Shelly and Matt - Wedding Day

Filed under Weddings • Written by Jason Kasumovic on Monday, September 28th, 2009, 11:24 pm

A little earlier this summer, I had the pleasure of doing an engagement shoot with Shelly and Matt. On Saturday, their big day arrived and I had the further pleasure of documenting the big day. From beginning to end, amidst breezy autumn weather, warm and loving family and friends made their wedding a special one. Here are some of the photos.

The gals and some of Shelly’s family got ready for the day at Shelly’s place in Spruce Grove.

Shelly is escorted down the isle by dad at the Holy Family Parish in St. Albert.

The marriage begins with a kiss!

We took a few photos at the church before heading to Lion’s Park.

The reception was held at the Country Lodge. The couple had a frame set up specifically for fun photos with famly and friends.

The cake was cut and devoured.

Thank you, Shelly and Matt, for making me a part of the big day. Your special relationship and great cast of family and friends made your day a memorable one. Congratulations and cheers!

Meet Karin and Joel. On the 2nd day of 2010, these two will be tieing the knot right here in Edmonton. On Thursday evening, I accompanied this easy going couple to the Millcreek Ravine for an engagement shoot. We walked the trails and ended up playing with a lovely sunset on a soccer field bordering the ravine. With Wednesday’s searing heat out of the way, it ended up being a great shoot! Here are some of the photos.

Thanks for the shoot, Karin and Joel. Looking very much forward to your holiday season wedding. Cheers!

Meet Derek and Leanne. If you’re a regular blog watcher you might remember Derek. He provided a memorable roasting of his brother Ryan at Ryan’s wedding which I shot last year. Since then, he and Leanne have become engaged - the perfect setup for some revenge from his brother. I accompanied these two to a couple of locations in St. Albert last night and we had lots of fun getting some engagement shots. The weather was unbelievably hot and sunny which made this fall shoot feel alot like summer. Here are some of the photos.

Thanks for a great e-shoot, Derek and Leanne. You two are alot of fun and I’m waiting on your big day with anticipation. Cheers!

Meet Robyn and Richard. This Ft. McMurray couple descended on the Edmonton area on Saturday to tie the knot. With the help of some fun family and guests, this light-hearted couple enjoyed a beautiful fall wedding. Here are some of the photos.

The girls prepared for the day on a friends farm near Stony Plain.

In the early afternoon, the ceremony began with Robyn and dad making their way to the Wedding Lawn at the Devonian Botanic Gardens.

A kiss begins the marriage.

We stuck around the gardens for formals.

The ladies looked lovely.

The reception was at the Polish Veteran’s Hall in North Edmonton.

The couple shared some laughs during the cake cutting.

Before enjoying their first dance.

To the laughter of the crowd, Richard came prepared for the garter hunt.

Thank you, Robyn and Richard, for making me a part of the big day. You two have a very special family and I wish you the best now and in the years ahead. Congratulations and cheers!

Amanda and Mike - Engagement Session

Meet Amanda and Mike. When this young couple opted for an engagement shoot in Jasper National Park, I had to admit to having a bit of a photographer’s giddiness as the location is probably my favorite spot on the planet. They chose well as bright blue skies and a crisp but warmer than usual autumn morning greeted us in the park on Monday morning. These two proved to be relaxed and easy going which made for a fun and creative shoot. Here are some of the photos.

Thanks for a fun shoot, Amanda and Mike - and thanks for choosing Jasper for the location. :) Looking forward to your wedding next year. Cheers!
