Karin and Joel - Wedding Day

Only a couple of months ago in much more temperate weather, I had the chance to get to know Karin and Joel during an autumn engagement shoot. They were nicely relaxed around the camera and even moreso with each other making for a great shoot. On Saturday, this couple tied the knot two days into 2010 and another great day of shooting for me and love and laughter for them was born. As I’m sure Karin will attest to, the weather was chilly. But that didn’t stop the couple from adding some Edmonton winter beauty to their photos as you’ll see below. Overall the wedding was a ton of fun and nobody could help but smile througout the day. Here are a few photos.

The ladies got ready for the day at Karin’s parent’s home in Sherwood Park.

A short while later, Karin was escorted down the isle by mom and dad at St. Joseph’s Basilica in downtown Edmonton.

A (slighty late) kiss begins the marriage!

Formals took us to the Royal Museum, Rutherford House, Muttart Conservatory, and the icy Legislature Grounds.

The ladies were looking gorgeous.

And the boys quite debonair.

The beautiful bride posed for some portraits.

Full credit to Karin for staying upright while being frozen from the waste down! :)

The reception was at the Chateau Lacombe in downtown Edmonton.

A couple of recently married special guests offer some marital advice to Karin and Joel in exchange for a kiss.

The newlyweds have a little shoe-game fun.

The first dance was up next.

And a cake cutting kiss ended the evenng for me.

Congrats on a fantastic wedding, Karin and Joel - and thank you so much for making me a part of it. You two make a great couple and undoubtedly have a long and happy future ahead. Cheers!
