Meet Melissa and Bryce. On Saturday, in Whitecourt, Alberta, this young couple tied the knot at a beautiful family ranch just out of town. This is actually Melissa’s second appearance on the blog - her first was three years ago when she made a beautiful bridesmaid at her sister Amanda’s wedding. The roles were reversed this time around and Melissa and Bryce pulled off a great wedding that was memorable for all. Here are some photos from the day.

The ranch was marked for guests along a rural road near Whitecourt first thing in the morning.

Earlier this summer, you met Val and Tony on this blog via their engagement shoot in Elk Island Park. Val, as you might recall, made a beautiful bridesmaid during her sister Isabelle’s wedding last summer. On Saturday, it was Valerie’s day to shine as the stunning bride as she tied the knot with her long time partner Tony. Splendid weather and a great group of people made the day a memorable one. Here are some of the photos.

The ladies got ready at Val and Tony’s home in Sherwood Park.

While the girls worked tirelessly to prepare, the boys did what boys do.

Dad shows some emotion as he blesses Val’s marriage.

Just before we left for the church, the ladies wanted a shot with this little blue beauty.

Val recorded a message for Tony prior to the ceremony which was played over speakers just before she entered. It was laced with love and emotion and Tony couldn’t hold back a tear.

It built some anticipate to see his soon to be wife.

Escorted by her son and daughter, Val makes her way down the isle.

As both Val and Tony have children, they each made a speech to them during the ceremony and presented them with a gift as a welcome to each other’s family.

The rings were a little tight! Neither seemed to mind.

A kiss sealed the vows.

5 minutes later…

Formals took us back to Tony and Val’s home as well as some downtown locations. Below, the wedding party demonstrates their pyramid skills.

The weather was hot and so were the better half of the wedding party.

Meet Kelsey and Cory. Late last week I had the pleasure of heading off to Fort Edmonton Park with this fun and vibrant couple for an engagement shoot. I had a ton of fun these two - who’ll be getting married this fall. For Kelsey, the shoot brought back some memories as, a few years back, she spent her summers working at the park. Just a few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of doing an engagement shoot in beautiful Jasper National Park with Leah and Ryan. It was clear to me on that day that besides being incredibly easy going and fun, these two were deeply in love. On Sunday, these two tied the knot in front of spirited family and friends back in Edmonton. Below are some photos from the day.

Leah made her preparations for the day at Dandy Salon at Whyte Avenue.

A short while later, dad escorted Leah to her waiting groom at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

The soon to be newlyweds share a few laughs at the ceremony.

Ryan had no intention of waiting for the first kiss signal from the official - as soon as the rings were exchanged he moved in.

Formals took us to the Royal Alberta Museum and various spots on the UofA campus.

The ladies looked gorgeous.

Though they had a bit of trouble posing with Ryan.

Just about all of the guys at one point or another played hockey together.

If you’re a regular blog watcher, you first met Roxanna and Peter last fall following their engagement session. The better part of year has passed since then and on Saturday, the big day arrived for this happy couple. In fine style, the wedding sported plenty of guests, plenty of laughs, and plenty of fun. Roxanna’s day started at Melange Salon.

The ladies soon headed to Roxanna’s home where preparations continued.

In the early afternoon, Roxanna made her way down the isle with mom and dad at the Santa Maria Goretti Church.

The marriage began with a kiss.
